Marrakesh is something very different. From other Morroccan cities, from any other place on any continent. Less a way of life; more a host to those drawn to exuberance, to exploring, to sensuous colours, sounds, sights, aromas, textures and tastes. It explodes in your face. It will take your breath away. But give you back much more.

And it knows how to make visitors welcome. Very welcome.

All less than three hours from London. And 15 minutes from its own airport.

My riad in the heart of the pulsating ancient medina, a world heritage site, is intimate, quiet, recently restored and only 5 minutes walk from the great Jama El Fna square. From Riad Najmati's large terrace the music from Jama El Fna wafts gently, the Atlas mountains shimmer and the Koutoubia mosque glistens in the almost constant bright sunshine.

It's a wonderful place to have breakfast, relax on the loungers, and rest in the shade.

In its cool courtyard you are as secluded and private as it's possible to be. Another great place to breakfast or dine.

I have fallen in love with Marrakesh, the friendly Moroccans, the laid back way of life they have perfected, and I'd love you to enjoy a stay there in Riad Najmati.
